Job description

We are seeking a Sales Technician (Greater Orlando) to drive sales growth while providing exceptional service and technical support for customers within an assigned territory. This role combines consultative sales, equipment maintenance, and customer relationship management to deliver value-driven solutions. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, mechanically inclined, and enjoys working directly with customers in the field.

Position Responsibilities Territory Sales & Business Development
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to assess needs and recommend products, services, and equipment solutions.
  • Generate leads through prospecting, cold calling, referrals, and on-site demonstrations.
  • Prepare quotations, negotiate solutions, and close sales opportunities.
Customer Service & Equipment Support
  • Inspect customer equipment and recommend maintenance, repairs, upgrades, or replacements.
  • Perform basic equipment assembly, troubleshooting, and repair as needed.
  • Deliver technical guidance to ensure customers maximize equipment performance and productivity.
  • Build long-term customer relationships through responsive and professional service.
Inventory & Equipment Management
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels for assigned service vehicles and equipment.
  • Ensure company tools, vehicles, and equipment are properly maintained.
  • Coordinate product deliveries and inventory replenishment as required.
  • Follow company procedures for inventory tracking and reporting. Reporting & Documentation
    • Document customer visits, sales activities, equipment inspections, and service recommendations.
    • Maintain accurate customer records using company software and CRM tools.
    • Submit expense reports, activity reports, and territory updates on schedule.
    • Monitor market activity and communicate customer feedback to management.
    Safety & Compliance
    • Follow company safety policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
    • Operate company vehicles safely and maintain required driving qualifications.
    • Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment when performing field service activities.
    • Promote safe work practices for both customers and team members.
    Prerequisites
    • High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework is a plus.
    • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in sales, field service, or customer-facing technical support.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience assembling, repairing, or servicing equipment.
    • Proven ability to build customer relationships and develop new business opportunities.
    • Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and time management skills.
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
    • Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel.
    • Ability to lift equipment and perform physical work in various indoor and outdoor environments.
    Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
    • Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
    • DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate
    • OSHA Safety Training Certification
    • Equipment Maintenance or Mechanical Technician Certification
    • CRM or Sales Training Certification
