Job Description
This role is suitable for an established Jira Software/Server developer/administrator who is also able to be involved in the planning and execution of process automation efforts. The individual will be performing complex Jira and Jira Service Management workflow development and administration activities with an emphasis on process automation and systems integration.
Responsibilities
  • Contribute to requirements gathering from stakeholders
  • Configure and maintain Jira Service Management functionality
  • Develop and maintain complex automation workflows
  • Develop and maintain field configurations, notifications, issue security and permission schemes, etc.
  • Develop and maintain ProForma configurations and functionality
  • Develop and maintain Insight/Assets configurations and functionality
  • Extend Jira functionality using Atlassian Plugin SDK for Atlassian Server Products and/or ScriptRunner
  • Develop and maintain functionality to automate administration tasks (user, group, role, schemes, etc.)
  • Work with partner teams to negotiate and develop upstream and downstream data integrations
  • Maintain documentation, scripting and/or tooling to aid in promoting configurations across environments
  • Perform peer work reviews and provide constructive feedback
  • Follow good SDLC practices including source code control, automated unit testing, automated builds, configuration management, comprehensive documentation, testing and project promotion procedures

Mandatory skills
  • Extensive experience with Atlassian Jira Software/Server and Jira Service Management Data Center Edition (4+ years)
  • Extensive experience building Automation for Jira automation rules
  • Extensive experience building and maintaining Jira security with groups, project roles, issue roles, permission schemes, issue security schemes, etc.
  • Extensive experience with ScriptRunner, including Groovy Scripting
  • Experience using/extending Jira REST APIs
  • Experience with HTML/JavaScript/CSS for user facing customizations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Desired skills
  • Experience integrating Jira with downstream reporting solutions
  • Experience developing Jira Data Center Extensions using Java SDK
