Job description

Servicing the DC/MD/VA area for over 35 years, JF Plumbing & Heating has an immediate need for an experienced Commercial Plumbing Technician who is interested in working for a growing company with a strong employee and customer focus.

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience, specifically with commercial service plumbing and drain cleaning. The position requires proficiency in installing, repairing and maintaining plumbing fixtures, systems, and proficiency in drain clearing.  

JF Plumbing requires its employees to prioritize the needs of customers and businesses we provide products & services for. We additionally emphasize the culture of treating our fellow employees as we do our customers. All employees are required to have the attitude of willingness and flexibility to take care of any issue that needs to be addressed.  Our technicians provide exceptional customer service, and project a positive image with customers and co-workers.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and provide solutions to commercial sewer and drain problems.
  • Drain, vent, and water line repairs/replacements of varying sizes and pipe materials.
  • Troubleshooting of water heaters (residential and commercial).
  • Repair and/or replace sump and sewage pumps.
  • Fixture replacements and repairs (faucets, toilets, urinals, kitchen fixtures).
  • Work and drive safely, using appropriate safety gear and techniques.
  • Ability to work on-call and respond to emergency calls as needed.
  • Project a professional image to associates, customers, and others.
  • Perform other duties as directed by Supervisor.

Compensation & Benefits:  We offer competitive wages, health benefits, vacation pay, paid holidays, and retirement plan.  This position includes a company-provided service truck to be taken home.  

Up to $10,000 Sign on Bonus Eligibility

Ability to commute/relocate:  Qualified candidates should reside within a commutable distance to Rockville, Maryland and surrounding service areas in Maryland, Virginia, & DC.  No relocation assistance available at this time.

Experience: 5+ years of service plumbing required (commercial experience strongly preferred). Experience with ServiceTitan is a big plus. Experience with boilers (residential and commercial) and/or commercial pump systems/controls not required but preferred.

License/Certification:

  • Driver's license required
  • Journeyman or Master Plumber preferred
