Job Summary

Responsible for coordination of facility emergency planning and logistics. Manages facility dispatch department. Provides support and coordination of administrative services for the Executive Director of Maintenance.

Essential Job Functions

  • Coordinates emergency preparedness operations with Director of Engineering. Is an essential part of the "Incident Command Structure" and is involved in yearly emergency and hurricane planning.
  • Helps formulate and coordinate new campus-wide security and event protocols.
  • Coordinates onboarding of new hires with the HR Department, includes management of ID badge system.
  • Responsible for managing Dispatch Department, including selection and supervision of staff.
  • Maintains, generates, and complies with all Environment of Care (EOC) committee meetings and documentation, in addition to the development of reports and documents to document monthly expenditure, safety, and Environment of Care. All necessary for AHCA and Joint Commission compliance.
  • Facilitates biomedical programs and inspections (both in-house and with Bio-med contractors) and coordinates with Nursing Administration.
  • Coordinates with Engineering Manager on contractor/vendor PM programs documentation and implementation.
  • Responsible for the timely purchasing of materials for the Engineering department in a cost-effective manner.
  • Assists in coordinating the Safety Building rounds and is an essential part of the actual tour group.
  • Participates in monthly fire drills as part of the fire drill team.
  • Prioritizes and follows through on daily tasks and issues in a timely manner.
  • Schedules appointments and maintains daily schedule.
  • Monitors, responds to, and distributes incoming communications and mail.
  • Answers and manages incoming telephone calls.
  • Receive and interact with visitors and guests.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.
  • Attends meetings, in-services and trainings as needed.
  • Coordinates and supervises G4S and MJH COVID Screeners.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelors' degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

  • Five years of work-related experience, preferably in a health care

  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office programs Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to communicate English effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrates a caring attitude toward MJHS residents, patients, family members, employees, and other facility guests.
