Job description

Logistics Coordinator

Position Summary

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supporting the efficient flow of materials, products, and services through the facility by ensuring accurate receiving, inventory planning, service verification, and warehouse processes. This position will have a particular emphasis on outsourced production, ensuring externally manufactured products are properly received, verified, and documented.

The Logistics Coordinator will work closely with Procurement, Planning, Operations, Receiving, Warehouse, Accounts Payable, and external suppliers to maintain accurate inventory, support production requirements, and ensure compliance with established processes and controls.

This role will also serve as a key contributor to warehouse 5S activities and continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to improve receiving processes, material flow, accuracy, and efficiency.

Salary:

Anticipated Pay Range: $65K-78K per year.  *Pay rates within this range are determined based on various factors including experience, education, certifications, etc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify incoming materials and products against purchase orders, packing slips, and other applicable documentation prior to receiving with particular emphasis on verifying outsourced production.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between shipments, purchase orders, and supplier documentation in coordination with Procurement and suppliers.
  • Support accurate documentation and traceability of incoming materials and outsourced products.
  • Provide backup support for raw material inventory forecasting and requisitioning.
  • Review completed services to confirm that the services were performed as authorized and in accordance with the applicable purchase order or agreement.
  • Perform and/or support three-way matching of purchase orders, service completion documentation/receipts, and invoices prior to payment.
  • Identify discrepancies between the purchase order, services received, and supplier invoices.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation to support receiving and financial controls.
  • Support warehouse 5S activities, including organization, housekeeping, visual management, standardization, and sustainment.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the receiving process, material flow, inventory accuracy, and warehouse efficiency.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or additional education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, receiving, inventory, supply chain, procurement, warehouse operations, or a related field.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and purchase orders.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in quantities, documentation, and transactions.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Ability to analyze information, identify issues, and follow problems through to resolution.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Must be able to provide documentation in the original form establishing both your identity and your employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully attain access to such items

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with outsourced or subcontracted production.
  • Experience with raw material inventory planning or material requisitioning.
  • Understanding of purchase-to-pay processes and three-way matching.
  • Experience with warehouse 5S, Lean Manufacturing, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience working with an ERP system such as SAP, Oracle, or similar.
  • Familiarity with inventory control practices and supply chain processes.
