Warehouse Attendant – Materials Management
Company is one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America. We own an interest in or operate approximately 79,000 miles of pipelines, 139 terminals, 702 billion cubic feet of working natural gas storage capacity and have renewable natural gas generation capacity of approximately 6.1 Bcf per year with an additional 0.8 Bcf in development. Our pipelines transport natural gas, refined petroleum products, crude oil, condensate, CO2, renewable fuels and other products, and our terminals store and handle various commodities including gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, chemicals, metals, petroleum coke, and ethanol and other renewable fuels and feedstocks.
This is a 4-month contract assignment with potential for extension. The contract assignment has no (PTO) paid time off (this includes no paid holiday and paid vacation). Contractors can request time off and take time off but please understand it’s not paid time off. If this is not a good fit, please do not apply.

PRIMARY PURPOSE
Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments, and coordinate outbound shipments. Fulfil customer requests for materials and assist with the disposition of surplus material. Operate warehouse equipment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Material Handling:
· Load materials onto truck, covered van or flat bed.
· Unload, count, mark and reconcile materials.
· Assist with logistics coordination to transport materials.
· Execute material deliveries between facilities.
· Operate forklifts and equipment, as required.
· Perform daily preventative maintenance on forklift, vehicle, and equipment.
· Maintain up-to-date safety certifications as required by company (forklift certification, Smith driving).
· Turn off and secure or lock up equipment when not in use.
· Clean and maintain workspace and operating area.
Inventory Management:
· Demonstrate knowledge of inventory concepts and ability to transact in company’s inventory system
· Organize yard, shelf and pallet inventory.
· Perform cycle counts and coordinate field audits
· Resolve any material discrepancies, shortages, or damages
Project Support:
· Stage project materials and prepare materials for shipment (shrink wrapping, banding, boxing, labeling).
· Ensure completeness and accuracy of orders for project materials delivered to staging warehouse.
· Assist buyers and vendors with material order issues.
· Provide timely updates to Project Management on project material status.
· Coordinate loading out of project materials with contractors, freight carriers and/ KM personnel
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
· A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience / specific knowledge:
· 1-3 years of warehouse experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Applications including, but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred.
Certifications, licenses, registrations:
· Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license, and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
· License to operate a forklift.
Competencies, skills, and abilities:
· Must be able to multitask while providing timely and accurate turnaround on tasks, sometimes with strict deadlines.
· Maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.
Physical demands that must be met with or without accommodation:
· May have to lift (from floor to waist) and carry up to 50 pounds.
· Must be able to hear and speak clearly.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Working conditions:
· Must be willing to work shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed and required.
· Must be available to respond to call-out as assigned.
· Perform work in dusty environment and all types of temperature/weather conditions
Preferred education, experience, certifications, competencies, skills, and abilities:
Above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in this position:
· Background in oil and gas industry.
· Knowledge of Company business
· Knowledge of materials such as pipe, valves, and fittings.
