Job description

Position Summary

As an Accounting Specialist in US Shared Services, you will be responsible for cash applications of all banking related deposits and applying those deposits to the customer accounts for all US based 
business units. You will also perform customer compliance checks for new customers based on  requests from various business unit representatives. You will be collaborating closely with the line of  business operational staff, finance staff, and Sr. Manager Shared Financial Services.  

This hybrid role requires four days per week on-site at our Teterboro, NJ location, with one remote day. The posted hourly range will default to the applicable regional rate and will not include any premiums. The baseline range is $25.00-$30.77/hr which is equivalent to $52k - $64k annually, plus a performance-based bonus.

Minimum Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two-four years or more of relevant accounts receivable and/or collections experience
  • Able to meet deadlines and demonstrate effective follow-up on assigned tasks   
  • Must be be knowledgeable and proficient in Excel to create and maintain various schedules/reports  
  • Must have experience in Microsoft Office, and Word to produce emails and professional letters
  • Operational knowledge of Outlook is required  
  • Must be accurate and proficient in data entry  
  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language fluently  
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages  
Main Responsibilities
  • Download, organize, & reconcile daily US bank deposit information from banking portal. 
  • Perform daily cash applications to customer accounts in ERP system.  
  • Post cash deposits made at remote FBO locations.  
  • Assist with monthly FBO credit card reconciliations.  
  • Prepare and distribute weekly unapplied cash reports.  
  • Communicate with internal and external customers via phone, email, etc.  
  • Review customer compliance forms for completion and accuracy.  
  • Perform customer compliance checks and determine next steps.   
  • Prepare and post manual journal entries in accounting system as needed.  
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls  
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested  
  • Other duties may be assigned, as needed  
  • Represent Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies and the General Dynamics network
