Job Summary:

B+T Group is currently seeking a Crew Leader based out of the Dallas, Texas office. This person is responsible for directly supervising Tower Technician and participating in the completion of construction projects.

Essential Functions (Key Responsibilities):

1. Supervision – Supervise technicians in the completion of fieldwork, provide instruction and oversight in overcoming obstacles, and ensure that safety policies are followed.

2. Fieldwork – Ensure construction work is completed in accordance with the client’s work order, including measuring structural elements and appurtenances, installing feed lines and antennae, testing telecommunications equipment, and constructing modifications to towers.

3. Equipment Management – Inspect equipment prior to and following completion of work activities, deliver equipment to worksites, retrieve equipment from worksites, and maintain inventory records of equipment usage and status.

4. Material Management – Inspect and deliver materials to site prior to the start of work.

5. Documentation – Record information associated with work activities and report information after completing field work on each site.

6. Perform related responsibilities as required or assigned.

Requirements

Knowledge/Skill/Ability

· Technical Knowledge – Proven knowledge of tower climbing and instrumentation

· Physical Ability – Ability to climb to and work from heights above 100 feet while bearing the weight of more than 30 lbs. of equipment and being exposed to all types of weather

· Communication Skills – Proven oral and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare and deliver concise, understandable instruction and reports

· Computer Skills – Proficiency in the use of spreadsheet and word processing applications


Equivalent Education/Experience

· At least 4 years of progressively responsible related experience in construction or telecommunications industry

· 1-2 years of vocational training in instrumentation, construction, or related field

· OSHA 30 Certification

· First Aid/CPR Certification

· ANRITSU Certification· Competent Climber Certification

· Competent Rescuer Certification

· JDSU Certification

· PIM Certification

· Prefer related experience in tower construction

· Department of Transportation (DOT) Physical required
