Job description

Overview:
Job Title: Mainframe Programmer Analyst (691085)
Location: Atlanta, Georgia 30303 Remote
Duration: Long-Term
*MUST BE LOCAL TO METRO ATLANTA *
This position is responsible for developing new and providing system maintenance and enhancements for the DHS Special Projects Team. The Special Projects team consists of 6 applications that include the Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT), Uniform Accounting System (UAS), Random Moment Sampling System (RMSS), Debt Setoff (DSO) programs, (EAP) Energy Assistance Program, and the New Hire (W-4) systems.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

โ€ข Design, develop, and maintain Mainframe COBOL & JCL to meet support and/or project requirements.
โ€ข Interface with business and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate business
requirements into formal technical requirements and application code.

โ€ข Work with IT support teams (ex. DBA's) to ensure support and project requirements are developed and
successfully implemented

โ€ข Develop and execute unit test and integration plans/scripts to validate that application changes meet
technical specifications.

โ€ข Responsible for full System Development Life Cycle
โ€ข Work with business team to complete acceptance testing and participate in integration testing
โ€ข Participate in on-call production support
โ€ข Assist with the MF conversion to NTTData-AWS
Required Job Experience:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related area
โ€ข 10 years of mainframe Development background in design, analysis, and coding: COBOL (CICS and
Batch), JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, TSO, CHANGEMAN, AWS

โ€ข IT technical background & mainframe programming experience
โ€ข Experience in all components of software delivery with concentration in requirements, design and
development.

โ€ข Experience with NTTData-AWS technologies a plus
โ€ข Ability to think analytically
โ€ข Ability to work independently
