Job description

Field Service Heavy Equipment Master Mechanic  

Title: Field Heavy Equipment Master Technician  

Job Type: Hourly / Non-Exempt 

Department: Service Location: Phoenix, AZ

Supervisor: Service Manager  

Compensation: DOE $30 TO $50 

SUMMARY 

As a Field Heavy Equipment Master Technician for Southwest JCB, you will be an integral service department member. The road technician will diagnose and repair various JCB equipment and components in a road environment, including diagnosing, ordering parts, customer and warranty reporting, customer communications, and maintaining company assets. The position’s primary focus is to [perform quality maintenance, diagnose, and troubleshoot equipment] while providing the highest level of customer service and satisfaction. 

Responsibilities: 

The following responsibilities are general guidelines and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of the full scope of responsibilities. Duties and responsibilities are subject to change based on business needs and at management’s discretion. 

  • Diagnose and repair equipment and components. 

  • Properly source and order parts to ensure the repair is fixed the first time correctly. 

  • Work in a road environment on various JCB machines. 

  • Perform preventative maintenance on JCB equipment in a road environment as directed. 

  • Communicate repair progress to the Service Manager and the customer to ensure high customer satisfaction. 

  • Use of company vehicles and special tooling properly, including maintaining all company-owned assets in a clean and safe manner 

  • Completing all paperwork promptly, including work orders, parts orders, time, etc. 

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures. 

  • Other duties and projects as assigned by direct management. 

Education/Additional Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience repairing and maintaining construction equipment.

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and essential math skills.

  • Computer literate with the ability to process information.

  • Ability to communicate, prioritize, and maintain time management.

  • Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision.

  • Physically able to perform duties and lift to 75 lbs.

  • Maintain a great attitude toward work.

  • Adheres to company policies, procedures, and practices as required.

  • Acceptable driving record.

  • A history of safe work habits.

  • Driven, self-motivated, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Valid Driver's License/Acceptable Driving Record.
