Position Title: IT Intern

Department/Section: Technology

Supervisor: CIO / Building and Grounds Director

SUMMARY OF FUNCTION:

The IT Intern will assist our Information Technology department with daily operations, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting various IT projects. This position offers hands-on experience in a professional environment, allowing the intern to apply classroom knowledge and develop practical skills in a corporate setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support:Provide first-level technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues, via phone, email, or in person.
  • Hardware and Software Management:Assist with the installation, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of computers, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
  • System Maintenance:Help maintain and monitor IT infrastructure systems, perform software updates, and conduct system backups.
  • Troubleshooting:Log, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues, escalating complex problems to senior IT personnel as needed.
  • Documentation and Inventory:Assist in maintaining accurate inventory of IT assets and documenting system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Project Assistance:Participate in IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations (e.g., to cloud services), and application development tasks under guidance.
  • User Account Management:Create, modify, and remove user accounts in systems like Active Directory, Google Admin, or Office 365

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education:Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Bachelor's or Associate's degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Technical Knowledge:
