Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Full Stack Engineer in Fort Myers, FL.
Summary:
We're seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to architect, develop, and maintain modern full stack applications that drive business operations and digital initiatives. This is an opportunity to play a key role in building scalable, enterprise-grade solutions while influencing technical direction and best practices across the organization.
In this role, you will own projects from concept to deployment, working across frontend development, backend services, databases, APIs, and cloud-based technologies. You'll collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable, maintainable software solutions while helping establish the foundation for future growth within the engineering team.
Duties:
* Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications from frontend through backend and data layers
* Build scalable APIs, services, and integrations
* Develop solutions using React, C#, Node.js, and modern database technologies
* Design and support distributed systems and microservices architectures
* Optimize application performance, security, and reliability
* Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions
* Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical planning
* Create technical documentation, deployment runbooks, and project roadmaps
* Support CI/CD pipelines and modern software development practices
* Mentor team members and contribute to engineering standards
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field preferred
* 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
* Strong experience with React and modern JavaScript frameworks
* Advanced C# and/or Node.js development experience
* Experience building and maintaining APIs and distributed systems
* Strong database experience with SQL and NoSQL technologies
* Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Agile development methodologies
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Redis, and MongoDB
* Experience with cloud platforms and observability tools
* Background in manufacturing, engineering, or technology environments
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
