Software Developer 2 - (Java, JavaScript, Python)
Clearance: TS/SCI - Polygraph required
Position ID: 18-11-SWE2
Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland
Description:
Performs implementation, regular problem solving, maintenance and support for agile software development to modernize systems.
Applies advanced consulting skills and/or extensive technical expertise; full industry knowledge.
Develops innovative solutions to complex problems.
Works without considerable direction; mentors and may supervise team members.
Concentrates on using both back-end and front-end languages to build complete solutions.
  • Develop source code for new applications or enhance code samples for existing applications.
  • Design, modify, develop, write, and implement software programming applications using agile methods.
  • Create solutions to complex problems within a collaborative, cross-functional team.
  • Mentors and may supervise team members.

Position Required Skills:
  • Experience in software development with basic programming languages, technologies, tools, or web development stacks, and Java and JavaScript in a Linux environment.
  • Experience writing source code for new applications or generating and enhancing code samples for existing applications.
  • Experience using back-end and front-end languages to develop complete solutions.
  • Experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications using agile methods.
  • Experience creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative, cross-functional team.
  • Java, JavaScript, Git, SQL, Python, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Web Front End Development, Back-End Development, Client Side, Server Side Development, Integration, API Development, UI UX, Angular JS, React.js, Vue.js, Empower, AWS tools, Microsoft C#, Angular 2.

Position Desired Skills:
  • Experience with Java libraries to include MongoDB, Spring, and OSGi.
  • Experience with Perl, Python, Lua and NGINX.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and team-oriented environment and balance long- and short-term taskings.

SWE2 Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and 14+ years of experience with software engineering, or 18+ years of experience with software engineering in lieu of a degree.
Salary Range: $241k-$295k (Annually)
The range displayed above is a likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possible contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
