About the Role
The Senior Programmer is an integral part of Latham's Technology team. This role will be responsible for leading and assisting with the design and development of Latham production applications including programming, coding, and debugging applications, as well as working with and making recommendations to the Development Supervisors and Managers regarding the maintenance and enhancement of existing Latham production applications. This role will be located in our Global Services office in Downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Other key responsibilities include:
  • Working independently to develop and implement comprehensive computing solutions that solve user business requirements and developing solutions in a professional manner and in accordance with established deliverable schedules and firm procedures
  • Developing and implementing new applications for Latham, maintaining the existing production applications, utilizing firm system software to generate and customize applications, and recommending solutions for the firm
  • Participating in consultations with development staff, project analysts, and end-users regarding system requirements and functionality and designing recommended solutions
  • Coding, testing, and debugging application systems per developed specifications and developing prototypes of various stages of development
  • Leading small, medium, and large-size projects from design through deployment
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

We'd love to hear from you if you:
  • Exhibit advanced knowledge of C# and ASP.NET with the ability to design, develop, and debug applications
  • Possess advanced knowledge of Ajax, JavaScript, and jQuery building interactive web-based interfaces
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop user-friendly user interfaces and web applications using clean HTML and CSS design principles

And have:
  • A bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, engineering, or related field, preferably
  • Extensive experience with .NET 3.5, .NET 4.0 and .NET 4.5
  • A minimum of three (3) years of C#, ASP.NET, and SQL specific programming experience
  • A minimum of six (6) years of relevant programming experience, preferably
  • A minimum of three (3) years of advanced HTML/CSS UI development experience, preferably
  • A minimum of two (2) years of advanced Ajax, JavaScript, and jQuery programming experience, preferably
  • A minimum of two (2) years of Xamarin (iOS/Android) programming experience, preferably
