Job Description: We are looking for an expert resource on JavaScript and CSS to round out our dev team in NJ building a new Fintech platform to leverage A.I. Machine Learning and Natural Language process to improve efficiency for financial institutions in creative ways.

We are looking for somebody to be our JavaScript/Front-End guru. You will be constantly solving problems:

  • Expert problems like how to we fix the responsive design on this screen?
  • Blazing new frontiers like, "Can you create a prototype with this new 3rd party library the CTO asked about for tomorrow?"
  • Jumping into the deep end on an existing app "Can you checkout one of the existing apps and rework the navigation?"

Must have 3-5 years experience

1. You have to know these topics stone cold: JavaScript, CSS, OAUTH2, best practices in front end development (i.e. local storage, security, SSO, Rest API Design)

2. Be an expert in Angular 2 or React. (note: the project will be in Angular 2 in one app and a mashup in another, we are comfortable that a React programmer can learn Angular)

3. Communications, can you communicate a tech problem simply using the correct terms, will you understand it when your manager does?

4. Flexibility and being a team player, we are a global team and priorities change you have to be able to context switch quickly. Are you flexible with your work hours to accommodate overlap with the global team in the mornings?

5. Care about your craft. Pretty code, testing, covering all of the bases, a good UX are all implied requirements for every task you do, you have to do these things naturally like breathing and eating.
