Job description

Duties / Responsibilities: Troy Web Consulting is offering an internship for an energetic, personable software developer who seeks to expand his/her skills and gain valuable experience in the "trenches" or real world projects. Troy Web Consulting works with a variety of clients in a fast-paced, engaging work environment in downtown Troy, NY. This internship contains a mix of responsibilities and duties including: Work with our Front-End & Application Architects and clients to design and implement front end websites and web user interfaces Coordinate, design and build "front end" functionality with backend systems and services that include AJAX, REST, SOAP and other APIs Communicate with team members and clients to see a project through from inception, design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance phases "First Responder" activities with Troy Web Consulting team & clients to handle situational issues.

Qualifications: Required: Strong knowledge of web page development, CSS, HTML, JavaScript Knowledge of basic data structures and web programming language(s) Good communication skills and a desire to understand the process of software development projects Optional: Experience with HTML5, CSS3, jQuery Experience with Front-End UI Frameworks Foundation & Twitter Bootstrap Experience with server-side scripting languages such as PHP or ColdFusion (CFML)
