Job description

We are looking for a Web Developer to take ownership of our Shopify environment and help deliver a dependable, high-performing online shopping experience in Jacksonville, Florida. This position centers on backend-focused Shopify development, platform connectivity, and scalable feature delivery while also supporting updates within established design standards. You will collaborate closely with marketing and IT teams to strengthen site functionality, improve performance, and serve as the go-to internal resource for the eCommerce platform.
Responsibilities:
• Lead day-to-day development and support for the Shopify storefront, ensuring stable functionality, strong performance, and a smooth customer journey.
• Enhance and maintain custom applications and existing code to support business needs and long-term platform scalability.
• Manage and refine the connection between Shopify and NetSuite through Celigo, addressing reliability and data accuracy across systems.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues affecting orders, inventory synchronization, customer records, and other integrated processes.
• Design and implement new site capabilities, backend logic, and functional improvements based on operational and customer experience goals.
• Partner with marketing stakeholders to launch campaign pages, promotional updates, and tracking-related enhancements within the site.
• Optimize site speed, technical efficiency, and conversion-related functionality to improve overall eCommerce performance.
• Work across marketing and IT teams to deliver practical solutions and gradually transition platform knowledge from external consultants to internal ownership.• At least 3 years of hands-on experience developing and supporting Shopify websites.
• Strong coding ability in Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience building or maintaining custom Shopify apps and working with Shopify APIs.
• Solid background with system integrations, API connectivity, and data exchange concepts; exposure to GraphQL is preferred.
• Working knowledge of React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL.
• Ability to understand an established codebase, troubleshoot efficiently, and make reliable enhancements.
• Demonstrated independence, sound technical judgment, and strong problem-solving ability in a fast-moving environment.
