Staff Software Engineer

We're looking for a Staff Software Engineer to help bridge the gap between sophisticated hardware and an outstanding customer experience. In this role, you'll partner closely with IC design, firmware, applications engineering, and marketing teams to develop intuitive software that enables customers to unlock the full capabilities of our next-generation silicon.

As part of one of our fastest-growing product lines, you'll have the opportunity to influence both product direction and customer success. We're looking for an engineer who enjoys solving complex, cross-functional problems, is comfortable working across multiple programming languages and technologies, and thrives in an environment that values initiative, ownership, and continuous growth.

What You'll Do

Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions for both customer-facing and internal applications.

Collaborate with customers, applications engineers, hardware engineers, firmware developers, and product teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.

Contribute across a diverse technology stack, including Java, Kotlin, Python, and TypeScript/React, depending on project needs.

Partner with applications and systems engineering teams to diagnose hardware and system issues and develop software-based solutions.

Participate in peer code reviews and help maintain high standards for code quality, performance, and maintainability.

Evaluate and adopt new technologies, tools, and development practices that improve engineering productivity and product quality.

What You'll Bring

8+ years of professional software development experience with a demonstrated ability to deliver complex software solutions.

Strong proficiency in Java; experience with Kotlin is highly preferred.

Experience building desktop or graphical user interface applications using JavaFX or similar GUI frameworks. Exposure to JavaScript or TypeScript is a plus.

Strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design, testing methodologies (including Behavior-Driven Development), and unit testing best practices.

Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges and develop innovative, practical solutions.

Curiosity and adaptability with a willingness to learn and implement new technologies.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience collaborating across multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Familiarity with modern DevOps and development tools such as GitLab, JIRA, and Confluence.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with embedded systems, microcontroller programming, or basic electronics.

Familiarity with hardware communication protocols and bus interfaces.

Experience developing software that interacts with hardware or embedded platforms.

If you're excited about building software that directly impacts cutting-edge semiconductor products and enjoy working across hardware and software boundaries, we'd love to hear from you.
