Job Description:
We are seeking a Java Developer to join a growing software engineering team responsible for developing and supporting backend services and enterprise integrations. This role will focus on designing, building, and maintaining Java-based applications while helping to create scalable APIs and microservices that connect critical business platforms. The ideal candidate is passionate about software development, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and thrives in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend applications utilizing Java and Spring Boot.
- Design, build, and enhance RESTful APIs and service integrations.
- Troubleshoot application issues and implement solutions to improve performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and business teams to deliver scalable software solutions.
- Support microservices-based applications and distributed system architectures.
- Assist with containerized application deployments and environment management.
- Contribute to event-driven solutions utilizing messaging technologies and integration frameworks.
- Create and maintain API documentation and technical specifications.
- Participate in code reviews and promote development best practices.
- Support authentication, authorization, and API security initiatives.
- Monitor application health and assist with ongoing optimization efforts.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java development.
- Experience building applications using Spring Boot.
- Proven experience designing and supporting RESTful APIs.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed applications.
- Experience with Git or similar version control tools.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, or containerized environments.
- Exposure to messaging platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.
- Experience utilizing API documentation tools such as Swagger or OpenAPI.
- Understanding of API gateways, OAuth, and secure API design principles.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor's degree required.
