Job description

We are seeking a Senior Automation Tester (SDET) with 6+ years of experience in software testing and test automation. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Selenium, API testing, SQL, and automated unit and integration testing. This role involves designing, developing, and executing automation frameworks while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery in Agile and Waterfall environments.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 6+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or test automation.
  • Strong experience in automated unit, integration, API, and web application testing.
  • Hands-on experience with Java-based test automation frameworks.
  • Experience with Selenium WebDriver and Java.
  • Strong knowledge of API testing, including REST, SOAP, XML, and JSON validation.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database validation techniques.
  • Experience testing both front-end and back-end applications.
  • Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid software development environments.
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC), testing methodologies, and QA best practices.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing practices.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience working in onsite/offshore delivery models.

  • Perform automated unit, integration, functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
  • Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Java and Selenium.
  • Validate REST/SOAP APIs, XML/JSON payloads, and database integrity using SQL.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and define test strategies.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, test planning, sprint reviews, and defect triage.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Create and maintain test documentation, test cases, and automation reports.
  • Ensure adherence to QA standards, testing best practices, and organizational quality processes.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in Financial Services, Banking, or other regulated industries.
  • Experience with modern test automation frameworks and continuous integration tools.
  • Exposure to version control systems such as Git.
  • Knowledge of performance or security testing is a plus.
