Job description

Overview

CTG is seeking a skilled Java Microservices Developer to support our client’s enterprise application development initiatives. This role is ideal for a hands-on developer with strong experience designing and building scalable microservices architectures using Java and Spring technologies.

Location: Newark, NJ
Duration: 12 months

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy microservices-based applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and API Gateway integrations.
  • Develop scalable, secure, and high-performing distributed systems.
  • Collaborate with Agile teams to deliver enterprise software solutions.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, DevOps automation, and cloud-native deployments.
  • Work with relational and NoSQL databases to support application functionality and performance.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and optimize system reliability and scalability.

Required Skills:

  • Strong Java development experience.
  • Hands-on expertise with Microservices Architecture and related design patterns.
  • Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledge of API Gateway technologies and microservices communication frameworks.
  • Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and automation practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Java development experience in enterprise environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $95,000 to $105,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
