With limited oversight, implements well-defined technical problems or solutions. With knowledge of general programming languages, frameworks and deployment methodologies, creates API-based applications from concept to finished product with a cloud-first emphasis. Works in a collaborative environment to build and deploy effective and efficient products with well-tested code.

Responsibilities

Principle Duties

  • Designs, develops, tests, deploys and supports API-based systems focusing on industry best practices with a cloud-first emphasis.
  • Manages individual tasks and timelines under limited supervision.
  • Seeks continuous quality improvements for supported systems
  • Assists in problem analysis and submits recommendations when appropriate.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Required

3+ year of software development experience • Proficiency in multiple tools of the full stack covering frontend frameworks, databases and deployments • Experience with a variety of general programming languages • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies • Ability to solve moderately complex problems, drawing upon technical experience, precedents, and judgement • Strong communication skills, including ability to explain complex information in straightforward situations

Preferred

Insurance and/or reinsurance industry knowledge Experience with a variety of database technologies
