CTG is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with deep expertise in Java, Google Apps Framework, and Boq-based application development to support the design, development, and modernization of high-visibility internal Google applications.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience within Google's engineering ecosystem, including Boq, Stubby, Spanner, and modern web development frameworks.

Duration: Ongoing Contract
Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise-scale applications and services.

Build backend services using Java and Google Apps Framework.

Develop modern web applications using TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Boq Angular, and/or Boq Wiz.

Create scalable APIs and integrate applications with enterprise data platforms.
-
Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues while ensuring application reliability and performance.

Participate in on-call support rotations for critical business applications.

Lead migration efforts from legacy platforms and frameworks to modern Google-supported technologies.

Contribute to architecture, code reviews, engineering best practices, security, and scalability initiatives.

Mentor engineers and collaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Required Qualifications:

Strong proficiency in Java and Google Apps Framework.

Experience building and deploying services using Boq and/or Pod.

Knowledge of Google's Stubby RPC framework.

Experience with Boq Angular and/or Boq Wiz UI frameworks.

Strong front-end development skills with TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

Experience with Spanner and distributed database technologies.

Familiarity with Google data integration platforms and patterns.

Strong understanding of API design and implementation.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and communication skills.

Prior experience supporting Google POps Engineering environments preferred.
Preferred Experience:

5+ years of software engineering experience.

Experience developing production-grade applications within Google's technology ecosystem.

Proven success delivering scalable, high-performance software solutions.

Experience migrating applications across platforms, frameworks, and architectures.
Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Equivalent combination of education and professional experience may be considered.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $95,000 to $105,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
