Job description

OCH Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to support the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Enterprise Information Display System (E-IDS) modernization program. The role will design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain modern web applications and microservices that support mission-critical National Airspace System (NAS) operations.
The candidate will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, developing both front-end user interfaces and back-end services while collaborating closely with architects, platform engineers, DT Test, System Integration, and other E-IDS development teams. The ideal candidate combines strong Java and Spring Boot expertise with modern web development skills and experience building secure, scalable cloud-native applications using Agile and DevSecOps practices.

Core Responsibilities & Duties
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable full-stack applications supporting the FAA Enterprise Information Display System (E-IDS).
  • Develop and enhance back-end services using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
  • Build and maintain responsive front-end user interfaces using Angular or comparable modern web technologies.
  • Collaborate with architects, platform engineers, DT Test, System Integration, Product Owners, and other E-IDS development teams to deliver integrated software solutions.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize application across development, integration, and test environments.
  • Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to software quality, maintainability, and secure coding practices.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including design artifacts, implementation notes, and operational documentation.
  • Analyze and resolve software defects, performance issues and integration challenges while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or other related technical discipline
Experience
  • At least eight (8) or more years of professional software development experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications.
  • Demonstrated experience developing applications using Java and the Spring Boot framework.
  • Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
  • Experience developing modern, responsive web applications using Angular or a comparable JavaScript/TypeScript framework.
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL.
  • Experience implementing and supporting CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar technologies.
  • Experience developing and deploying containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
  • Experience working within Agile software development teams using Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
  • Experience troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing enterprise applications across development, integration, and test environments.
