Details:
They are doing support and enhancements of a web based ordering system for distributers
It is core Java (no cloud needed which is a huge plus)
Full Stack Development experience with emphasis on front end and mid tier (they must have very strong JavaScript, it is heavily used in the environment)
There is some Angular
Primary Job Responsibilities Include:
  • Enhance and support our current suite of applications related to product ordering and other customer related functions.
  • Responsible for enhancement and support of front end and Java code related to those applications.
  • Interface and coordinate work with areas of the organizations providing services that are being displayed in this application to work through new features or product issues.
  • Development of automation tests using Selenium and Saucelabs.
  • Help identify new tools / technologies that can help drive business growth
  • Core Java and JavaScript development is required
  • Writing tested, idiomatic, and documented Java code.
  • Updating existing documentation to ensure the code base can be easily understood.
  • Desire to work in an Agile/SCRUM based delivery models

Minimum Requirements:
  • Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience software development (Technical Skills: Java, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, AJAX, etc.)
  • Knowledge of AngularJS practices and commonly used modules based on work experience
  • Creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components
  • Thorough understanding of the responsibilities of the platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services used in the system
  • Validating user actions on the client side and providing responsive feedback
  • Writing non-blocking code, and resorting to advanced techniques such as multi-threading, when needed
  • Documenting the code inline using JavaDoc or other conventions
  • Writing extensive unit tests
  • Extremely strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A strong affinity / interest for being on the cutting edge of technology
  • Qualities of flexibility; a good team player, high attention to detail are essential
  • Solid written and verbal communication; strong interest and ability to collaborate with business stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or commensurate experience
