Role Overview
This is a hands-on development role focused on migrating applications and business processes from existing platforms to a strategic platform. The position involves designing, developing, testing, and supporting the migration while collaborating with multiple technology teams. This role offers exposure to large-scale transformation projects, modern technologies, and the opportunity to influence architecture and platform adoption across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and support application and business process migrations.
  • Collaborate with various technology teams to ensure a smooth transition to the new strategic platform.
  • Engage in end-to-end application development using modern Java and related frameworks.
  • Profile, optimize memory, and tune data-intensive, large-scale enterprise applications.
  • Utilize strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Communicate status, risks, and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical teams.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline.
Experience: A minimum of seven years of experience in end-to-end application development.
Technical Skills:
  • Core Java 11+ (including Multi-threading, Collections, and Functional Programming).
  • Frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, and JPA/Hibernate.
  • Database design concepts, SQL, query tuning, and optimization.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Five or more years of experience with frontend UI technologies like HTML5, AngularJS, Backbone.js, and Bootstrap in an Agile environment.
  • Experience with Big Data technologies such as Apache Spark and Hadoop, large-scale distributed ecosystems, and cloud computing architectures.
