Job Details:

JOB TITLE/ROLE : Java Developer

DURATION : 3+ Monthsย 

LOCATION : Charleston, SC

Specific Duties and Responsibilitiesย 

Collaborates with developers, programmers, and designers in conceptualizing and development of new software programs and applications; ย 

Extensive application development including specifications gathering and documentation;ย 

Assists in the definition, development and documentation of software's MIS requirements, objectives and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments;ย 

Assists in defining software development project plans including coping, scheduling and implementation;ย 

Researches, identifies, analyzes and fulfills requirements of all internal and external program users;ย 

Writes programming scripts to enhance functionality and/or performance of MIS applications as necessary;ย 

Designs, runs and monitors software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purpose of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging;

Administers critical analysis of test results and delivers solutions to problem areas;

Trains end users to operate new or modified programs;


Basic Qualifications:ย 

Required Skills


3 years experience with Java analysis and development


Excellent understanding of coding methods


Experience using query language such as SQL


Ability to communicate with non technical users


ย Preferred Skills


Familiarity with XML, PHP


Project Management experience


ย Requirements


Associate's degree or 5 years experience
