Job description

Sr. Full Stack Software Engineer

Duration: 12 -24 Months

Location: Merrimack, NH/ Smithfield, RI/ Westlake, TX/ Durham, NC/ Covington, KY

Candidate should be local or willing to work onsite on any of the above locations for 5 days/ month

The Role

As a Senior API software engineer, your primary role will be crafting, building, testing, and engineering Node.js based GraphQL and Java based REST APIs on our Client Investment Performance Platform. You participate in defining and implementing class leading engineering solutions for our technology products, demonstrating engineering excellence to the rest of the team. You are encouraged to quickly gain an understanding of all the components of our platform contributing to strategic roadmaps and initiatives.

The Expertise You Have and the Skills You Bring:
  • Bachelors in computer science or Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years hands on software developer passionate about engineering excellence, highly focused, innovative, self-starter, collaborator, and someone who’s eager to learn to help others.
  • Experience in a micro-service architecture solutioning for scalability, availability, intelligent monitoring, performance, and how to design proactively to avoid them.
  • Skilled in all aspects of software development lifecycle including API design, development, testing, deployment and support
  • Ability to work with others, helping prioritize the work based on strategic nature, importance, and impact.

What are the top three MUST have soft skills and technical skills (experience candidates must have coming in the door)?

1. Hands-on Java REST webservice API experience (3 years min, 5+ preferred) (must be very good in Java)

2. Demonstrated experience with unit testing, security, code quality scanning tools, etc as part of the development process

3. AWS cloud aware. Not an expert but understand the steps and processes to deploy the application/service to AWS.
