We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer with extensive experience managing Windows Server environments in both on-premises and cloud-based settings.

The client is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineerto support and enhance its hybrid infrastructure environment. The ideal candidate mustpossessstrong technicalexpertiseacrossWindows Server,cloud platforms, security, patching, automation, and production application support. This role requires in-depth and hands‑on experience performing upgrades, migrations, remediation, and troubleshooting within mission‑critical systems.

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will work across diverse technologies includingJava,.NET,Oracle,SQL,Microsoft Dynamics, and warehouse platforms, supporting both server-level and complex production application needs. The engineer must alsodemonstratestrong networking knowledge, including deep familiarity withOSI layersand network protocol behavior. Preferred qualifications include Microsoft- and network-focused certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Operations & Administration
  • Administer,maintain, andoptimizeWindows Server environmentsacross on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure.
  • PerformOS upgrades, patch installation, testing, and ongoing system updates to ensure reliability and security.
  • Develop and usePowerShell scriptsand other automation tools to execute centralized and repetitive tasks efficiently.
  • Lead and executeserver migrations, including transitioning workloads from on-premises systems into cloud platforms.
Security & Compliance
  • Implement andmaintainsecurity configurations for servers, includingendpoint protection, access control, and hardening standards.
  • Conductvulnerability remediationfor servers and applications tomaintainsecurity compliance.
  • Work with security tools and processes to ensure consistent protection and monitoring.
Patching, Monitoring & Automation
  • Manage patching cycles and useSCCMor similar platforms for automated patch deployment and reporting.
  • Maintain ongoing monitoring and performance assessment of infrastructure services toidentifyand resolve issues proactively.
Backup & Disaster Recovery
  • Oversee routinebackup operationsand support recovery processes for mission-critical systems.
  • Develop, refine, and supportDisaster Recovery (DR)strategies to minimize downtime and protect data integrity.
Production Application Support
  • Provide advanced server-level support for enterprise applications using.NET, Java, SQL, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, and warehouse technologies.
  • Troubleshoot high-impact production issues across hybrid infrastructure and middleware layers.
Networking & Systems Integration
  • Apply deep knowledge ofOSI model layersand networking protocols to diagnose connectivity and application issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application deployments and infrastructure enhancements.
Communication & Collaboration
  • Translate business or user requests into actionable technical solutions and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Work closely with the IT Portfolio Manager and Infrastructure & Operations teams to align engineering efforts with organizational needs.
