  • Use modern AI-assisted development tools, such as Cline and Cursor, to improve productivity, code quality, documentation, and testing while reviewing and validating AI-generated code before release.
  • Develop, evaluate, and integrate AI-enabled tools, validation routines, and workflow automations into the MDMS and supporting data pipelines to enhance system capabilities, increase data output, and improve the quality, consistency, and validation of medical device data.
  • Analyze complex medical device datasets to identify trends, data integrity issues, normalization needs, and opportunities for database optimization or schema redesign.
  • Partner with the Prizm database administrator on database-related planning, schema and data model considerations, query optimization, performance monitoring, deployment coordination, and production support activities.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, architecture, code, workflows, release/change processes, work instructions, and training materials for cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot MDMS and database performance, implementing indexes, partitioning, query tuning, and other optimization techniques to ensure availability, reliability, and responsiveness.
  • Ensure ETLs function properly and on a scheduled cadence and frequency.
  • Troubleshoot API, integration, ETL, and data build issues, including APIs used in build processes, and assist the build team in diagnosing and resolving Prizm-related issues throughout build, QA, and release workflows.
  • Collaborate with Quality Management, clinical/content, product, technology, database administration, and build teams to translate business and data requirements into reliable MDMS enhancements; perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to own technical work from requirements through delivery.

  • Proficiency developing, reviewing, testing, and debugging applications written in Python, Java, CSS, and HTML, including AI-assisted and manually generated code.

  • Working knowledge of relational database design, data modeling, data integrity principles, workflow automation, and performance optimization for data-driven systems.

  • Experience with ETL/data integration concepts, API troubleshooting, data mapping, data validation, and ingestion of structured or semi-structured data files from multiple sources.

  • Ability to evaluate, develop, integrate, and validate AI-enabled tools or automation within data management workflows while maintaining appropriate human review, data quality, and documentation standards.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively with a database administrator, build team, and cross-functional stakeholders; well organized work habits with attention to detail and a commitment to quality improvements.
