Technical Data Engineer, Senior
The Opportunity:

As a data engineer, you know that organizing data can yield pivotal insights when it's gathered from disparate sources. We need an experienced data professional like you to help our clients find answers in their data to impact important missions, from fraud detection to cancer research to national intelligence.
As a data engineer at Booz Allen, you'll use your expertise to help build advanced technology solutions and lead data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You'll guide data engineering activities by overseeing the development and deployment of pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful. Here, you'll mentor a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. You'll use your expertise in analytical exploration and data examination while you oversee the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients.

You Have:

• 4+ years of experience using Java, as well as Spring Boot or Spring Framework
• 4+ years of experience with Linux or UNIX, including shell scripting and operational troubleshooting
• 4+ years of experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, container orchestration, and CI/CD workflows
• 4+ years of experience leading software application development in an enterprise environment
• Experience establishing, documenting, and maintaining clear development priorities and execution plans, ensuring teams understand sequencing, dependencies, critical-path activities, trade-offs, and changes in priorities across multiple concurrent initiatives
• Ability to supervise technical staff, such as developers and testers, and lead projects in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• Bachelor's degree
• Ability to obtain Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of hire

Nice If You Have:

• 4+ years of experience with AWS services and cloud-native architectures
• 4+ years of experience with Apache NiFi and Kafka for real-time data ingestion and streaming
• Experience designing, developing, operationalizing, and maintaining complex, distributed data applications at scale
• Experience developing applications and administering non-relational databases, such as MongoDB
• Experience improving or establishing enterprise-level CM pipelines, version control discipline, and release management hygiene
• Possession of strong communication skills
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Developer, or SysOps Associate Certification

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
