Job description

Job Title: GCP Cloud Engineer with SRE
Location: Alpharetta GA - Day 1 Onsite
Duration: 6 to 12 Months

1 Cloud Engineer with SRE experience (GCP/Java/ Microservices) (min 10+ Years exp)
Job Description:
  • Cloud Engineer will be part of the GCP Cloud Platform team who is responsible for building Cloud Infrastructure and deploying Cloud Native and 3rd party services for building an Analytics / Data Science platform.
  • You will be part of a high performance oriented Cloud Data team, working on cutting edge Big data & Analytics tools and technology on Cloud environments.
  • You will be automating cloud native technologies, deploying applications provisioning infrastructure and developing front-end.
  • You will be programming the back-end on Python, Go, Java or similar object-oriented language.
  • You will be working actively on Infrastructure as Code, using CloudFormation, Terraform, or other tools, and use CICD Workflow tools such as Jenkins and GitHub. (Terraform preferred)
  • You will be working on microservices and distributed application architecture, such as containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology.
  • Follow full software development lifecycle and delivery using Agile practices.

Qualifications:
  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar discipline.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience of programming in languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++ or similar object-oriented language.
  • Experience with automating cloud native technologies, deploying applications, and provisioning infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, using CloudFormation, Terraform, or other tools. (Terraform Preferred)
  • Experience developing cloud native CI/CD workflows and tools, such as Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity, Code Deploy and/or GitLab.
  • Hands-on experience with microservices and distributed application architecture, such as containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology.
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle and delivery using Agile practices.
  • Extra Points for any of the Following
  • Preferred to have knowledge of GCP Native Tools (BigQuery, CloudStorage, Dataflow, Composer).
  • Preferred to have DevOps knowledge using CICD processes and using tools like Jenkins, GitHub.
  • UI development (e.g. HTML, JavaScript, AngularJS, Angular4/5 and Bootstrap)
  • Good to have knowledge of Dockers and Command Line Interface
