Job description

Job Summary:
Raytheon is dedicated to helping the nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression. The Software Engineer II will focus on the design, development, integration, and maintenance of software for on-site factory support of weapon system product development, contributing to both engineering and production equipment systems.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop and integrate object-oriented software applications using C#, C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio in a Windows Operating System (OS).
• Prioritize and handle multiple software engineering tasks concurrently.
• Troubleshoot software and test equipment instrumentation.
• Work in a multidiscipline engineering team environment.
• Develop and derive requirements for software products.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Master’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
• This position requires 12 months or less of professional experience (excluding internships)
• Experience in developing software applications using programming languages including but not limited to C++, C#, Java, Python or Visual Basic
• Experience with Windows Operating System and Microsoft Visual Studio is required
Preferred:
• Experience in utilizing debugging tools to troubleshoot software implementation and ensure integrity of the software products
• Knowledge in common computer hardware interface and data protocols such as TCP/IP or UDP
• Knowledge of software development lifecycles, such as Waterfall and Agile
• Knowledge of Software Configuration Management principles
• 3.0 cumulative GPA desired
