Job description

Position Summary:
Key Responsibility: Adjunct Instructors deliver Information Technology training in a variety of content areas using a wide range of media and teaching methods. To meet the needs of our students and client organizations, Corporate and Continuing Education instructors have relevant workplace/professional experience and bring real world knowledge into the learning environment.
Required Qualifications:
  • Five years of prior-related work experience.
  • Substitute of Experience for Education Permitted: No

Preferred Qualifications:
  • CompTIA A+,
  • Network+,
  • Security+,
  • Cloud Professional,
  • Java and/or Python,
  • Microsoft Data Analytics,
  • IT certifications will be considered a plus.

Supplemental Job Information:
The College is seeking applicants to teach part-time for upcoming semesters. Applications will remain actively on file for one year. ICCE is now located on the Dale Mabry Campus.
The position requires the following responsibilities:
  • Classroom/online expectations to arrive 15 minutes before the class begins
  • Classroom/online maintenance is of the utmost importance
  • Classroom/online management to ensure all students meet their learning objectives
  • Complete required Canvas LMS information including attendance, evaluations and grading by the end of the course
  • Training methods are appropriate to the course curriculum
  • Provide instructor-led delivery and on occasions webinar delivery
  • Prepare students by providing expertise in applicable certification exams
  • Prepare students to acquire the skills necessary for a career in the IT workforce.
  • Provide technology consultation
  • Contribute and/or develop curriculum for new courses.
