Welcome to Love's: The API & Integration Developer III is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable API and integration solutions that enable secure, reliable connectivity across enterprise systems. This role applies modern integration patterns and best practices to support retail and energy business domains, including omnichannel, supply chain, store, fuel, and customer experience platforms.
The position emphasizes MuleSoft expertise with exposure to additional iPaaS platforms such as SAP BTP and requires experience operating within product-based delivery models. The Developer III contributes to enterprise integration standards, automation, and AI-enabled development practices to enhance productivity and solution quality.
Job Functions:
  • Design, develop, and deploy APIs and integrations using MuleSoft, SAP BTP, AWS, and related platforms
  • Implement secure, scalable, reusable integration solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards
  • Integrate enterprise systems including Salesforce (Sales, Service, Marketing Cloud), SAP (ECC, S4, Ariba, SuccessFactors), and other core business platforms using standard adapters and custom integrations
  • Develop event-driven and streaming integration solutions utilizing platforms such as Kafka or other message brokers
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, observability, and reusable accelerators to improve delivery speed and reliability
  • Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, architects, and system owners to define requirements and deliver practical, scalable technical solutions
  • Participate in Agile-Scrum ceremonies and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Leverage AI-enabled development tools to enhance productivity, including RAML generation, transformation mapping, automated testing, and monitoring
  • Explore and implement AI-driven integration capabilities where appropriate to support business innovation

Experience and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
  • 4-8 years of professional experience in API and integration development
  • Experience designing and implementing enterprise integration solutions in retail and/or energy industry environments
  • Experience working within Agile-Scrum and product operating models.
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to digital transformation initiatives involving enterprise system connectivity
  • Certified Developer (Level 1/2) or equivalent certification on a leading integration platform
  • Knowledge of event streaming platforms such as Kafka, Azure Event Hub, or AWS Kinesis
  • Familiarity with cloud-native architectures including Kubernetes, containerization, and microservices
  • Experience embedding AI/ML capabilities into integration workflows
  • Prior involvement in enterprise AI-driven or digital transformation initiatives

Skills and Physical Demands:
  • Advanced proficiency in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform; exposure to SAP BTP or other iPaaS tools.
  • Strong proficiency in JSON, Java, XML, RAML, DataWeave, Groovy, and RESTful API design principles.
  • Experience with event-driven architecture and message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Working knowledge of AWS services and cloud-based integration patterns.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, Git-based version control, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience implementing secure integration standards (e.g., authentication, authorization, API governance).
  • Experience integrating with enterprise ERP, CRM, and HCM platforms (e.g., SAP, Salesforce)
  • Strong analytical and solution-oriented problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborative team orientation within cross-functional, product-based environments
