Job description

Client is seeking engineers to join our Sea Systems business area to develop solutions in support of our unmanned surface vehicles programs. Current focal areas include autonomous control, advanced payload integration, vision systems, and other emerging technologies to enhance our unmanned surface vehicle platformsโ€™ capabilities. Your day may include designing, simulating, constructing, and field-testing autonomous surface vehicles and their subsystems. Our goal is to deliver disruptive autonomy technologies that enhance our customersโ€™ mission capabilities. Responsibilities
ยทProviding solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity on both current and next generation technologies in support of our family of Sea Vehicle products
Participating in software development of new products across all phases of the product lifecycle from concept development to lab and offsite integration and evaluation
Performing software development at component, subsystem and system level including embedded control systems and sensor/operator interface development
Working cohesively on a multi-functional team with exciting technologies and products
Leadership and individual contributor growth roles are available
Providing offsite integration and test support
Other related duties as assigned Qualifications
Bachelorโ€™s degree in computer science or computer engineering or related field required with 2+ years of experience or masterโ€™s degree in computer science or computer engineering or related field
We are open to hiring with more experience, as well. Compensation to be reflective of years of experience.
C/C++ or Java programming experience
Basic shell scripting experience
Network/Serial/CAN interface development experience is a plus
Knowledgeable of Object-Oriented Analysis (OOA)/Object-Oriented Design (OOD)
Comfortable working in Unix based development environments
Experience with Jira and using Git or Mercurial configuration management tools is a plus
Exposure to frontend technologies including (but not limited to) CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, REST API, databases (SQL or NoSQL), and web UI design is a plus Eligibility to obtain a Secret Clearance
