SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
- DISCOVERY, PLAN, CREATE AND IMPLEMENT 
- WORK WITH THE PROJECT TEAMS (INCLUDING END USERS) TO BE SURE THE OUTCOME IS FUNCTIONAL AND CONTAINS ALL NEEDED TOOLS AND REPORT CAPABILITIES. 
- DEVELOP SYSTEM WORK FLOWS, REQUIREMENTS, AND TIMEFRAMES 
This contract position is needed for maintenance, development and support for the Child Care Licensing System, and for the development and support of the integrated Child Care Services System Development (CCSS) project. The Integrated System (CCSS) is a project that is underway to replace several independent Child Care Systems (SC Voucher, ABC Quality, and the Child Care Licensing System) with a new framework that integrates multiple Child Care program functions and reporting into one system. The original design of the CCSS did not incorporate functions and reporting of the CACFP application. This position will also consult on the development and structure of the CACFP application to insure consistency for future integration of those functions of the CACFP System into the Child Care Integrated System.

General Function: 
Works under general supervision and participates in the design and development of internet/intranet systems. May work independently or as a part of a team. May serve as senior technical staff member for assigned projects. General Characteristics: Integrally involved in the development and support of the Internet/Intranet/Extranet sites and supporting systems deployed for SC Department of Social Services Child Care/Early Care and Education programs. Works closely with other IT groups and customers to define the system design and user interface based on customer needs and objectives. Participates in all phases of the development and implementation process, and may act as a project manager on special projects. Be knowledgeable of best-practices for building secure web applications. Responsible for developing client-side scripting and server-side application code. Extensive knowledge in using programming languages such as Visual Basic, HTML, XML, Java, and ASP.
