Independently designs, develops, tests, and maintains complex SAP-based cloud and enterprise software solutions that address business and user needs. Emphasizes delivering scalable, secure, and high-quality applications by leveraging SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP Java), SAP Integration Suite, SAPUI5, SAP Fiori, and SAP HANA Cloud. Serves as a key contributor in designing and implementing enterprise integration solutions using SAP Integration Suite to connect SAP and non-SAP applications, enable API-led architectures, and support event-driven business processes. Applies advanced software engineering practices, cloud-native development principles, integration patterns, and enterprise architecture standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive technical initiatives and mentor junior engineers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Independently designs, develops, tests, deploys, and maintains complex SAP BTP applications and services supporting Finance IT and enterprise business processes. Develops cloud-native applications using SAP Cloud Application
  • Programming Model (CAP Java), SAP HANA Cloud, and SAP BTP platform services.
  • Designs and implements enterprise integrations using SAP Integration Suite as the strategic integration platform, including Cloud Integration, API Management, Open Connectors, Event Mesh, and integration best practices for SAP and non-SAP ecosystems.
  • Develops and enhances SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 applications that provide modern, responsive, and user-centric business experiences.
  • Creates and consumes REST APIs, OData services, and event-driven integrations supporting SAP and non-SAP systems, leveraging SAP Integration Suite for API lifecycle management, orchestration, monitoring, and governance.
  • Participates in architecture, design, and technical solution discussions to ensure scalability, maintainability, performance, and alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Leads code reviews and provides technical guidance to ensure code quality, security, and adherence to SAP development best practices.
  • Collaborates with business stakeholders, architects, product owners, and cross-functional technical teams to deliver business solutions and technical initiatives.
  • Troubleshoots, debugs, and resolves complex production issues through root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Participates actively in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, technical design, development, testing, deployment, support, and continuous improvement.
  • Applies secure coding standards, governance controls, and compliance requirements across SAP BTP applications and integrations.
  • Supports CI/CD, automated testing, DevOps practices, and release management activities using Git and enterprise deployment tools.
  • Mentors junior engineers and contributes to the advancement of SAP BTP development standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices.
  • Utilizes and contributes to enterprise frameworks, integration patterns, cloud services, and development tools to accelerate delivery and modernization initiatives.
  • Leads the design, development, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of SAP Integration Suite solutions, including iFlows, APIs, integration scenarios, connectivity frameworks, and reusable integration assets to support enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in SAP application development and enterprise integration solutions, including 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions using SAP Integration Suite. Hands-on experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). Strong experience developing applications using:

  • Java EE, CAP Java, RESTful APIs, OData Services, SAP HANA Cloud, SQL
  • SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, HTML5, JavaScript, JSON, CSS
  • SAP Integration Suite, Cloud Integration (CPI), API Management, Event Mesh, Open Connectors, and integration monitoring
  • SAP Business Application Studio
  • Experience deploying and supporting applications in Cloud Foundry environments. Experience with Git, source code management, branching strategies, and CI/CD practices. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum development methodologies. Demonstrated experience designing enterprise integration architectures, building and supporting integration flows (iFlows), API-led connectivity solutions, and hybrid integration scenarios using SAP Integration Suite.
  • Strong understanding of integration patterns, message transformation, security implementation, error handling, monitoring, and performance optimization within SAP Integration Suite.

  • SAP BTP Development, SAP Integration Suite (strongly preferred), SAP Fiori, or SAP HANA certifications.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA integration and extension development. Experience with SAP Build Process Automation, SAP Build Apps, or SAP Build Work Zone.
  • Experience designing event-driven and API-first architectures. Experience supporting Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Procurement, or ERP-related business processes.
  • Experience with SAP Clean Core principles and side-by-side extension strategies.
  • Experience working with SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS), Identity Provisioning Service (IPS), and enterprise security frameworks.
  • Experience implementing DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and cloud deployment pipelines.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture, containerized applications, and modern cloud-native development patterns.
  • Previous experience in banking, financial services, or large enterprise environments. (If applicable to your organization.)
  • Experience leading modernization initiatives involving SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP transformation programs.
