What is a Java Developer W2 role?

A Java Developer W2 role refers to a Java development position where the employee is hired directly by a company or through a staffing agency as a W2 employee, rather than as a contractor (1099) or through a third-party vendor. In this role, the developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications. Being a W2 employee means the company handles payroll taxes, provides benefits, and withholds income taxes, offering more job security and potential benefits compared to independent contracting.
