Job description

Senior Full Stack Engineer

Hybrid Onsite Schedule of 5 days in office, every other week. The candidate can be located in Westlake, TX or Smithfield, RI or Durham, NC or Merrimack, NH.

Our client is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help build a next-generation managed accounts platform within Asset Management Technology. You will contribute to a greenfield initiative with emphasis on Java Spring Boot services, REST APIs, cloud-native architectures, and rigorous testing practices. You will collaborate across teams, define technical architectures, and deliver customer-focused web application capabilities.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis. For our W2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $60.00 to $69.00/hr. W2

Responsibilities:

  • Perform object-oriented analysis and design using object modeling and sequence diagrams.
  • Develop Java services using Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring REST, and Spring Batch.
  • Design, execute, and maintain unit and integration tests.
  • Build and maintain REST APIs and cloud-native, containerized applications.
  • Write SQL, including PostgreSQL queries and functions, and tune performance.
  • Create, update, and maintain technical documentation.
  • Track work items and progress in Jira.
  • Collaborate with business partners to refine requirements and design effective technical solutions.
  • Coordinate with systems partners to implement end-to-end technology solutions.

Experience Requirements:

  • 10+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Proven experience defining technical architectures and best practices.
  • Experience leading initiatives across multiple teams.
  • Strong Java with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
  • REST API development.
  • TypeScript and Angular experience.
  • Database and SQL expertise, including performance tuning.
  • Test automation with TDD, BDD, ATDD, and related frameworks.
  • AWS services experience preferred. Azure experience considered.
  • CI/CD experience with tools such as Jenkins and pipeline ownership.
  • Source control and pull requests with tools such as GitHub.
  • Containerization and orchestration with Docker, Kubernetes, EKS.
  • Event streaming with Kafka.

Education Requirements:

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science preferred.
