Shift: Rotating Night Shift / 6:00pm - 6:00am
Start Pay Range: $26.00
Objective/Purpose of the Job:The Maintenance Associate III is responsible for the operation, monitoring, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repair of utility and facility equipment. This role supports real-time utilities control room operations using BMS, EMS, and SCADA platforms and performs hands-on field work to maintain reliable facility operations.
This position supports utility systems including, but not limited to, boilers, chillers, pumps, hot water systems, compressors, pure steam generators, vacuum systems, high purity water systems, reverse osmosis units, vapor compression stills, HVAC systems, waste water systems, city water systems, water softener systems, fire alarm systems, and ancillary equipment.
The role requires monitoring cleanroom and aseptic room environmental conditions, including temperature, humidity, and differential pressure, as well as monitoring and acknowledging alarms for utility equipment, incubators, refrigerators, freezers, and other critical systems.
Key Activities/Responsibilities:• Monitor utility and facility systems through BMS, EMS, SCADA, and related utility computer systems.
• Respond to alarms and abnormal system conditions, troubleshoot issues, take corrective action through control systems, and transition to field work as needed.
• Process daily work orders, including troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading production and facility equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, mechanical repairs, electrical repairs, equipment inspections, and routine monitoring on utility equipment.
• Perform routine water sampling and testing of systems.
• Perform stainless steel passivation, annual and semi-annual maintenance during plant shutdowns, and project support as needed.
• Review and sign routine shift logs, daily logs, and routine monitoring data.
• Enter maintenance activity into the computerized maintenance management system to support accurate documentation.
• Support contractors and project engineers as needed and assist with coordination of day-to-day repairs and projects.
• Issue work orders and purchase orders as needed to maintain equipment in a reliable state.
• Clean, paint, and keep utility areas organized.• Maintain GMP and SOP training compliance and support continuous improvement and safety initiatives.
• Cover shifts for other utility operators when needed, including vacation, illness, weekends, holidays, and day shift coverage as required.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
Scope of Position:This is a night shift position that requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while supporting continuous facility operations. The position requires flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and alternate shifts as needed.
The employee must assume responsibility for GMP, regulatory agency compliance, environmental health and safety procedure awareness, and compliance within the assigned area.
Required Qualifications and Training:• Aseptic Gowning Certification is required.
• Confined space entry is required.
• Respiratory qualification is required.
• Forklift, high lift, or JLG certification may be required.
• Ability to work with potentially hazardous chemicals is required.
• Logical approach to troubleshooting and equipment repair is required.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to work quickly and under pressure are required.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Must be detail-oriented and quality-conscious.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office/Word and CMMS usage, are required.
• Experience using mechanics tools, calipers, welding equipment, and related maintenance tools is preferred.

Prior experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech, GMP-regulated, or regulated manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
