Job Title:IT Technology Services Senior Specialist

Purpose and Objective:
SAP America, Inc. seeks an IT Technology Services Senior Specialist at our Newtown Square, PA location to design and develop systems, products, services, and data to optimize or automate SAP's business processes and improve work efficiency.
Expectations and Tasks:
Deliver outcomes of assigned projects and work independently on topics while setting priorities having sole responsibility. Handles complex issues in own area such as cross-functional or cross-country projects. Responsible for solutions design and strategy. Enhance complex systems or processes. Applies advanced experience in technical or business or project skills relevant for assigned project. Represents SAP to customers. Communicates clearly and conveys processes and policies in a way that others can understand. Advocates for the end user by having a deep understanding of end user needs, behaviors, and usage patterns. Promotes the role of User Experience thorough understanding of contemporary user-centered design methodologies, practices, and ability to integrate those into current and future development efforts.
Education and Occupational Experience:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:
Experience must involve four (4) years in the following:
  • SAP NetWeaver system Administration and Performance Tuning;
  • SAP ABAP Programming, debugging, optimization analysis, and tuning or tracing;
  • ABAP development workbench;
  • SAP HANA administration, root cause analysis, technical performance optimization, and troubleshooting;
  • SAP HANA technical architecture, High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) set up, backup strategy definition, and HP Service Guard & Pacemaker setup;
  • SAP HANA installations, major upgrades, and maintenance including patching;
  • Linux Operating Systems including parameter settings, patching, optimization, and troubleshooting;
  • OS/DB migrations, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA conversion, and Unicode conversions using SAP proprietary tools such as the Database Migration Option (DMO) and MIGMON;
  • Planning and execution of Data Migration and Landscape Transformation (DM<) projects using Selective Data Transition (SDT);
  • Migration of SAP Workloads including ABAP, JAVA, Business Objects Data Services, Business Objects Systems, TREX, and Content Server from On-Premise to Hyperscalers including AWS, Azure, GCP, and SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud environments; and
  • Design and configuration of single sign-on with Kerberos, SAML for SAP and non-SAP solutions, setting up Single-Sign On (SSO) for SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Work zone using SAP IAS Identity Authentication service, and IPS such as Identity Provisioning service.

Travel: Position requires up to 30% domestic travel to implement SAP Solutions at various unanticipated customer sites.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $125,923 - $195,976. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP's commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $131,000 - $222,700. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
