PURPOSE:

The intern will undertake a variety of assignments and projects in support of Marmon Aerospace operations. Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must, as is a good understanding of research.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND IMPORTANCE OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The most critical part of the job responsibilities; requires most of the employee's time and effort.

  • Conducting studies, i.e. time studies, locomotion studies, to be used in enhancement projects in a lean endeavor.
  • Design and implement ergonomic work methods & efficiency optimization strategies.
  • Be a key role player in the implementation of new processes, equipment, and products.
  • Value Stream Mapping and Visual Management.
  • Initiate, plan, execute, and control strategic projects to accomplish operational goals.
  • Potential for travel across eight (8) domestic sites to further improve and hone skills.

Work Experience/Education Requirements:

  • Must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university.
  • Future Metals will consider students who have completed at least four semesters of college in the following major: Engineering
  • Excellent verbal, written and telephonic communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to analyze data and draw relevant conclusions to have positive effects on business
