This role is far beyond traditional accounting this is a financial leadership position responsible for building infrastructure, driving profitability, ensuring compliance, and supporting executive decision-making across manufacturing, distribution, retail, and emerging growth channels.
The Controller will act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, owning financial integrity while proactively identifying opportunities to improve margins, optimize operations, and support expansion.
This position will have direct accounting reports and will build and lead the accounting function as the company scales.

Labor allocation
Analyze standard vs. actual costs
Waste, shrinkage, and yield

Partner with operations to improve supply chain cost structure, sourcing, and efficiency
Compliance, Audit & Risk Management:
Ensure full compliance with:
GAAP
Federal, California, and local tax regulations
Sales & use tax
Lead all external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting
Maintain policies for financial governance, risk mitigation, and fraud prevention
Oversee insurance, liability coverage, and financial risk exposure
Cash Flow, Treasury & Banking:
Own and manage:

Working capital optimization

Qualifications:
Active CPA (Certified Public Accountant) License
Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field
8-12 years of progressive accounting/finance experience
Proven experience in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role
