Job Summary We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to join the Container Management Platform team within Cleint Architecture and Engineering. This team is responsible for enabling next-generation streaming platforms across Cleint . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and cloud engineering, with expertise in Kubernetes, automation, and modern programming languages. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge container technologies, building platforms for exceptional scale, while contributing to open-source communities and continuous learning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities - Buil d, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes clusters (EKS and AKS).
- Extend Kubernetes functionality, including building operators and custom resources.
- Develop scalable cloud applications using AWS and/or Azure.
- Create SDKs in Go or Python and contribute to automation scripting.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and integrate DevOps best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver containerized solutions.
- Contribute to open-source projects and knowledge sharing within the engineering community.
- Participate in weekly learning initiatives to stay current with emerging technologies.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in software and cloud engineering.
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes (EKS and AKS).
- Hands-on experience building, deploying, and maintaining clusters.
- Proficiency in Java or Golang.
- Background in software development with transition into cloud engineering/Kubernetes work.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes core concepts and cloud-native application development.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud services.
- Familiarity with software engineering best practices and DevOps cultur e.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with GitOps-based tooling (e.g., ArgoCD).
- Experience creating SDKs in Go or Python scripting.
- Familiarity with container orchestration and automation at scale.
- Strong ability to work autonomously and deliver results indepe ndently.
Certifications - Rele vant cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Kubernetes) p referred.
