Job Description

The Developer will be part of a product team of designers and full-stack developers (Java back-end) developing a web and mobile application for use by the Front Line Associates & Managers in the field.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead products through iterative design, development, and delivery
  • Maintain a user-centered approach in design & development perspective and practice
  • Work as a collaborative team member with internal customers, designers, and fellow engineer
  • Apply best practice approaches and guide the product team through the process
  • Rapidly iterate on prototypes and working applications
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Have experience with and curiosity of Agile and Lean philosophies
  • Experience working with small teams to ship products to market
  • Have experience developing full-service consumer, employee, and business applications
  • Experience with designing and refactoring complex systems
  • Language agnostic and experienced polyglot
  • Passion for Working Software and SOLID principles
  • Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)
  • Interest in working in a pair-programming environment
  • 3-5 years of experience working with Java/Kotlin
  • Experience with Spring Boot, and API design
  • Fundamental understanding and experience working with JPA data
  • Working knowledge of Message Brokers and Messaging subsystems (experience working with Kafka a strong plus)
  • Strong understanding of best practices creating/working with Micro-services
  • 3-5 years' experience or equivalent in software development
  • Deep understanding of design patterns and applying them in production environments
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science discipline (preferred, but not required)
  • Passion for enabling team members
