We have an exciting opportunity: The Graphic & Production Designer plays a key role in developing and executing visual communications that support Kura Sushi's brand, promotional campaigns, licensing collaborations, restaurant marketing initiatives, and guest experience touchpoints. This role is responsible for both the creative design and production execution of assets across digital, print, environmental, and in-restaurant channels while maintaining brand consistency and production excellence.
This position is based in Irvine, CA and requires candidates to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of our Irvine office. Team members are expected to work onsite a minimum of one day per week, with additional in-office presence required based on division responsibilities and business needs. This is not a remote position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Conceptualize and design creative assets, including but not limited to brand campaigns, promotions, seasonal campaigns, new restaurant openings, public relations initiatives, loyalty programs, and licensing collaborations.
• Develop visual systems and creative assets that effectively communicate brand messaging while aligning with Kura Sushi's visual identity.
• Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and contribute design concepts that enhance guest engagement and brand awareness.
• Prep files for print and digital production with precision, ensuring proper specs, color accuracy, and brand consistency.
• Ensure all creative assets consistently reflect approved brand standards, visual guidelines, and collaboration requirements across all guest-facing touchpoints.
• Work collaboratively with the marketing teams to execute designs based on brand guidelines and campaign direction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business objectives into effective visual communications and creative solutions.
• Adapt existing creative concepts into multiple formats and sizes while maintaining visual integrity.
• Maintain and organize design assets, templates, and final production files.
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist in quality checks and proofing of printed materials and digital deliverables.
• Support photoshoots, mockups, and presentation deck creation as needed.
• Work collaboratively with Brand creative lead and Promotions & licensing manager to ensure that all design solutions meet deadlines, objectives, and budget parameters.

• 3-5 years of graphic design, production design, or creative services experience, preferably supporting restaurant, hospitality, retail, consumer brand, or agency environments.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; Figma is a plus).
• Portfolio demonstrates both original creative design and production execution.
• Strong understanding of print production, file setup, and output specs as well as typography, layout, visual hierarchy, and brand identity systems
• Experience designing for both print and digital media.
• Meticulous attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage shifting priorities.
• A positive, collaborative attitude and a passion for design.
• Experience with project management tool (Monday.com)
