Title: Die Builder (Trainee)
Reports To: Supervisor
Status: Full Time/Hourly
No experience required!
Job Requirements:
Must be mechanically minded
Must be able to use handheld measuring devices and hand tools.
Must be able to learn fit and function
Must be able to follow strict safety procedures
Must be able to safely use lifting devices (Overhead crane, forklift, etc...)
Job Preferences:
Experience in building/fitting aluminum die cast dies or plastic injection molds
Experience in grinding and manual milling/drilling
Experience in welding TIG, MIG, and Laser
Simple print reading- single component and assembly
LEAN Manufacturing background
Advanced problem solving skills (Root Cause Analysis, 8D, 5 Why, etc.)
Job Summary:
Disassemble and assemble large dies/molds. Hand grind and fit new or repaired components into existing or new dies/molds.
Essential Job Functions:
Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools
Ability to follow strict guidelines to achieve quality, safety, and profitability
Use handheld measurement instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc...)
Use lifting devices (crane, forklift, hoists, etc...)
