Job Description

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree; BA from four-year College or University in Accounting or Finance with 3-5 years of finance experience required.
  • Understanding of the finance accounting weekly, periodic and year-end closing processes
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and International Financial Standard (IFRS)
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial data
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Working knowledge of SAP, Excel, Power Point and Microsoft Word
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a project environment
  • Ability to work independently and possess strong problem-solving skills with can do attitude.
Key Responsibilities

The Finance Accountant will:

  • Perform month-end close activities to reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Report monthly and quarterly results to Fujifilm Japan headquarter and Fujifilm US Holdings company using DIVA and UNITE reporting systems.
  • Development of the monthly financial data and insight for the COUS businesses, for monthly reporting, budget planning and periodic COUS management review.
  • Analysis of forecasts, budgets and variances to actual to assist in business management's understanding of the risks and opportunities in the business.
  • Provides support to AR and AP function to ensure accurate and timely processing of all transactions with adherence to the internal control requirements.
  • Reconcile daily cash balance, prepare monthly cash flow forecast file and report monthly balance sheet summary.
  • Prepare daily cash entries and reconcile import duties vs duty accruals.
  • Generate journal entries and input into SAP based on reporting requirements and schedule.
  • Monitor customer AR balance and follow up the past due invoices to support customer service credit order release and prepare monthly status reports for management.
  • Complete and submit applicable state and federal government reports as required.
  • Prepare actual, forecast and budget reports for several areas: cash conversion cycle, sales, monthly reporting.
  • Provide support to the Finance Manager in other areas as needed
  • Maintain proficiency with SAP, BI, Excel and COGNOS
