The exact duties can vary depending on the type and size of the facility.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a janitorial professional, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Janitorial professional, you need basic cleaning skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of safe handling of cleaning chemicals, often supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with equipment such as floor buffers, industrial vacuums, and safety data sheets (SDS) is typical in this role. These competencies ensure that facilities remain clean, safe, and well-maintained, supporting a healthy environment for all occupants.
