Job description

Summary:

Oversee, train, and direct the janitorial staff on-site to ensure all employees remain safe and that the customer's quality expectations are consistently met or exceeded. In addition, you will be responsible for participating in daily cleaning tasks as needed.
 

Schedule:

Monday -Friday (5:00pm -1:30am)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervise and train the janitorial staff within the facility.
  • Assign shift schedules and designate work areas and responsibilities.
  • Manage employee relations and address performance issues promptly and appropriately. Document and report concerns to management and/or Human Resources.
  • Review employee timekeeping records to ensure compliance with company policies and complete payroll documentation to ensure all employee hours are accurately recorded and paid.
  • Inspect the job site regularly to identify quality concerns and project work needs; complete and submit inspection reports.
  • Identify and communicate the need for special project work to management.
  • Operate floor care equipment as needed, including buffers, walk-behind scrubbers, and spot carpet cleaners.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of cleaning supplies.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer concerns and complaints.
  • Enforce all safety policies and procedures, and immediately report and investigate accidents or incidents.
  • Complete required training courses and certifications.
  • Perform general cleaning duties, including cleaning restrooms, break rooms, and common areas; dusting; and trash removal.
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
  • Perform advanced floor care and maintenance as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of janitorial supervisory experience preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism required.
